Generations of effective video gaming console releases through the years led to the much-hyped 1996 launch of Nintendo 64, a system that represented a huge evolutionary leap in video game technology. Times are a' changin' and the system's ever-growing library of titles has expanded into every genre of video games imaginable, including video games better-suited for older gamers. And with newer game systems including CD-based video games, the system's pricey cartridge format is showing itself an antiquated and unconventional storage format.
